Velkommen to the Scandinavian Old Time Fiddle Society Site

Our Services:

We provide students with stringed instruments and encourage them to gain  further knowledge of their Scandinavian heritage.

About Our Project:

Music education plays a very important role in the lives of children and young adults.

* All children should have the opportunity to experience an appreciation for music starting at a very young age.

* With teacher referral students can come in and borrow the violin of their choice, at no cost, with the understanding that they would do their best to learn to play the instrument.

* Musical instruments are also available to teachers to borrow, at no cost, for classroom use to expose children to many different types of instruments and the history that goes along with them.

If you are interested in helping by giving of your time and experience, please call us. The key to our success is our volunteers.

2.  To loan stringed instruments to young people to encourage them to learn more about their Scandinavian history and fiddle music.
3.  To provide teachers with a variety of stringed instruments to borrow for thirty days.
