Swedish Folk Singer Kim Rose On January 19, 2000, Swedish folk singer Kim Rose, became the recipient of a violin. Kim is a singer and songwriter originally from the Northwestern town of Erskine, Minnesota. She began singing at a very young age and is a self taught musician. Kim has participated in a long term research project that studies the beneficial effects of music on American elderly and Alzheimer / Dementia patients. Her performances include a wide variety of Scandinavian immigrant songs and she is proud of her Swedish heritage. Kim donates up to one third of her live performances to worthwhile charities and fundraisers in the arrowhead region. We are happy to be able to provide Kim with an instrument to add to her performances. The more music and information about Scandinavian heritage that people receive, the more they learn about their past and the rich history of Scandinavia and it's people.
